I get home from work today and lo and behold my mailbox reveals to me the black-oxidized EOD Powerlock I won in an eBay auction. It came new in the box and like the seller had warned me, had no sissor impliment. But what he failed to warn me of was the fact that none of the implements had recieved thier initial factory edge. The black oxide covers everything with no shiney sherpened steel in sight.
No big deal though. Considering the increadibly low price I paid for it it is still an great deal. I am just seeking the advice of the wise and powerful Ron. I can take it to the cultery place I frequent. The guy there has been sharpening steel since the bronze age ended. Or should I send it to SOG since I am planning on buying the sissors you can stick em in for me and sharpen everthing up. (Dont get me wrong I have been adding subtracting things from SOG tools for many years, I certainly can do it myself) Personally, I would probably rather get it done hear so I dont have to part with it for the few days. I just thought to run it past you to see what advice you give.
BTW, I found no "X" on it to indicate it being a second, though I am not sure where to look for it on the tool.
Also BTW, it is awesome, my third generation SOG tool
