‘We hold these truths to be self evident”...... Eight words, eight very powerful words, indeed.. The declaration on This date started the tiny engine that would morph into the greatest single force for good in the entire history of the human race. When we celebrate this wondrous day with fireworks and brass bands, with cannon fire, hot dogs burgers and brew we celebrate this great force which a tiny handful of intellectually and physically brave and intrepid men conceived and planned and fought to bring to fruition and fruitful it has been. We bring food and succor to the world and if we are proud to do it, we should be.
Before you lift one too many brewskis take five minutes and read that miraculous document and then have at it...
I am celebrating today at a friends ranch in The Bitterroot Valley in Montana where there will be a grand feast and a joyful celebration of the freedom and liberties that we enjoy as AMERICANS..... A civil war era Mountain Howitzer will lend it’s voice to the festivities and it will be fine...
I wish you all could be here to enjoy and join in the fellowship but, I trust you will have a grand and good time wherever you are!....
