What the . . .. ? Uncle Screwtape calls this "The Behemoth" Excellent name and awesome design. It is a Steroid injected, asian influenced, recurved, nightmare to make, ergo, choppin', chunk o' INFI!!!!

He milled his pattern out of Lexan, sent it to us and we gave it a quick grind and a spray of Krylon barbecue black. Coupled this with an ergo slab and you can really get the idea. Cool heh?

Nice Job!!!!!

My wife was standing over me when I clicked on this and saw the picture. I made some groaning sound of awe. She slapped me(Lightly) across the head and left the room. I think maybe she is thinking I have enough Busses. But I think I need a few more:D . Looks cool.

I hope Uncle Screwtape don't mind but here is what he posted on the
other Busse forum about the specs.

The blade length is 9" starting from the primary grind in the middle of the choil.
What looks like a shadow midway on the spine to the tip is a false swedge?(Jerry?)
It looks a bit like a kurkuri in the photo because of this, but the spine is profiled like a big fat humped Battle Mistress with a dropped point. The blade width averages about 2".
On the prints I sent Jerry I designated it a forward biased, dropped point, modified tanto tip... just a bunch of s**t really, but it sounded cool, and I had hoped to impress Jerry with it.

I hope to have it made from .25 inch INFI steel, with a satin finish and the Zero Edge Geometry convex edge. It will be flat ground as shown, no complex tanto tip grinds. I'm glad you guys like, especially Jerry, I was worried that it was too goofy.

Now if I could get it before my birthday...(5/11)

Gator,

I'm not sure I would know how to make a Variant out of this design. . . possibly straightening out the blade and changing the tip design might work.. . . I'm just afraid that it might turn out looking like a Mean Street blade with an Ergo Handle. ;) That would be interesting!
