Here's a new model I designed for people who open boxes and packages all day on the job, but who want something a little more useful than a box cutter. The blade is 2 1/2" and not quite a sheepsfoot - the edge actually has a little curve to it. I carried the prototype for about a week on the job, and found it useful for many tasks other than box opening.

Having worked in a grocery store when I was younger I would have simply loved to have a knife of that design. I also worked in a tannery and it would have been excellent to have there too. Nice, very nice.

Thanks!

The handle is 4" long, plenty of room for all four fingers to wrap around. I thought about making it a three-fingered knife, but I decided I wanted the extra control of a full length handle.

Outstanding.

I love smaller FB's like that , the handle material looks good too , with a red spacer it would have that even more classic look to it , imo.

Nice knife. What steel did you use ?

:)
