...And not a bad gentleman's knife either.
This is my Benchmade 921S that I snagged at a local surplus store last year for about $120. It is probably the prettiest knife that I own, as well as being the only gentleman's knife that I own. It doesn't get a whole lot of pocket time, as I only carry it on special occasions. It saw some pocket time today, but the occasion wasn't the most pleasant. My Grandpa passed away on Monday night, and his funeral was today. He was a staunch "Buy American" type and a Korean War vet, so I made an effort to purge any Chinese made products from my EDC. I think he would have found the 921S a little too flashy for his own tastes, but he did approve of my Benchmade Griptillian when I got it last year, so I felt that a Benchmade would be appropriate. It saw some use today before the ceremony when I had to add an extra hole to my belt, but it proved especially useful at the luncheon. The Bohemian restaurant that we went to did not provide sufficiently sharp utensils, so the 921S was a nice thing to have.
Anyway, I think the 921 is awesome, if not somewhat unappreciated knife.
Also, RIP Grandpa John. 1929-2013.
