This vic quarto driver is always around my neck, and other than a micro neck knife it's the most useful thing you could ever wear around your neck.
It's also the best of it's kind ever made ( 4way key chain drivers like the classic Sears/ craftsman ones )
None of the other ones out there ( that I've tried, and I have 3 others ) actually work as good as this one does.

Is this the same as the one from the swisscardlite, for example?

That's exactly what it is, mine went through the washer and dryer so many times that it got brittle and my ass busted it .
( luckily I saved this, sadly I lost the scissors the first week I had it because I was twelve at the time and wasn't yet keeping it in my walket)
I believe these are only about a $1.50 on the vic website, either way I know they sell them as a replacement part.

I can't find them? Maybe I'm not looking in the right place?

I forgot that the Victorinox website sucks nowand you'd probably just have to call them , and the price has gone up to the 4$ range.
They do have them on Amazon " it's the swisscard quarto driver bit "

Definitely stealing this idea. Just ordered a two-pack from the States; I plan to wrap a rubber band around one for a silencer and clip it to the cord of my neck knife.

(One of these days I'll make one of my own, but with slightly thicker stock so one corner can be a 2D hex driver.)

I also carry one of these in my EDC rotation since last year.

Has saved the day a couple times, very useful indeed.
And weighs nothing!

Heck. I thought you were going to have one of those super-dooper 197 tool Swiss Champs on a paracord necklass. :)

I've had mine around my neck for the past 5yrs and it still looks like new.
The finish they use really doesn't promote scratching, but then again it hasn't been on a set of keys.
The first of these drivers I ever got was a turtle one with a bottle opener, then this one , then an old Cole brand one, then an old air force one that my dad got in the 70's when he was deciding which branch to serve with ( gave it to my uncle, because 2 of his kids were in the AF ) and finally I recently got a craftsman one.
They're all American made except for the Victorinox, and none of the American made ones are very well executed especially compared to the vic.

The Swiss one is nicer finished, and I've always meant to pick one up if I ran across one. But they are rare here and the Vic website is lousy, so I keep on carrying the Sear's one that has been in my wallet for over 25 years. Years ago, I took a file and put a small bevel on the corners of the smallest driver bit, and it fits number 1 and 2 phillips fine. It's a bit larger than the Victorinox, but it's easier to pry open paint cans with.

The P-38 also works fine on phillips and flat screws, opens cans and bottles. They're always there in my wallet when I go through airport security.

Well, I got mine in the mail about 12 hours ago. I bought a two-pack—one for my wife, which will go on a silver chain next month for her birthday. (She's also getting a new immersion blender, in case you think it's a stupid idea.) It really is a nice bit of shiny, definitely jewelry suitable.

I knew it was small, but was still surprised. Definitely smaller than the Crafstman classic, but that's not a bad thing. For those of you curious, it does fits into an Altoids Smalls tin. So mine goes on an ordinary lobster clip for now, and my jeweler mother is sending me a couple of tiny clips for the intended purpose. And yes, the P-38 rides in my EDC Altoids Smalls tin, but I've already tried it out, and the Vic does a way better job than either that or the Craftsman tool.

Glad to here that ! they're such a handy little item, even if you just use it to check and change batteries.
They really do make a nice necklace pendant or zipper pull ( but I'm not always wearing a jacket, so around my neck is much better )
I could easily see a CIA agent having one hidden inside his watch or shoe sole.
And I'll bet one could easily be integrated into a paracord bracelet.

So many possibilities, indeed! I'm a fan of the Gerber Daily Carry line, which are meant to be zipper pulls, but compared to this little gem those are bulky as all get-out. Here in Holland we wear jackets for about nine months out of the year, and like I said, it can go in my EDC Altoids Smalls tin; like a knife, though, this is the kind of thing that I think I'd like to have with me even when I'm headed downstairs in my bathrobe.

I'm the same way, that's why I'm.always wearing the quatro driver and this neck knife
even if I get up in the middle of the knight to take some heartburn medicine I can open the stubborn blister pack with my knife or tightened a loose screw on the light switch panel or something.

Used it a bit today. We were at the dining table (lotsa people) and I'd left the jacket at the entrance. I had my SAK there, and my MT was on my belt but it wasn't appropiate to take out such a beast (SOG Powerplier) in there.

The son of one of the guests came to me after being told I was the guy to ask for when something broke (I'm known as the "always prepared" guy almost everywhere I go), 'cause his new drone's controller needed new batteries. I unscrewed the four phillips with the piece, pried open the really stiff AA batteries and changed them for the ones he had in hand, and screwed it back again.

No one even noticed, the kid got what he wanted and everyone happy as he went away to play with his stuff.

Just an anecdote, but I thought it fit here quite well. Great EDC idea, really.

I don't know about anyone else, but I come here for the anecdotes.

Mine is on the same-sized swivel lobster clip, but I'm getting a smaller one. It's clipped to the cord of my neck knife and then held there by a rubber band so it doesn't jangle around. Problem is, I want a Nitecore Tube on there as well, because I don't want to carry my (also minimalist, but more than I need in the middle of the night) keychain around my neck everywhere.

The precision of the machining on these seems to have changed some, the edges on mine are a lot crisper and it has the Victorinox Logo on it.

Hm, mine too. (And yes, I did check to make sure it was the right side.) I can't imagine that it really makes a functional difference, though.

Yeah, mine is a knockoff branded drive. But I have the original as well.

They both work fine, really.
