The worst sharpening session ever

So today was the day I decided to touch up all my main user knives, with some edge tweaking planned. Well after spending a couple hours sharpening I was about done, I had the ones I'd already sharpened laying on a towel on my work bench waiting to just be stropped. Well here's where things take a turn for the worse, my German Shepard who loves chewing on towels managed her way into the garage and proceeded to snatch the dangling towel and run. Well there went 4 knives flying in the air and onto the concrete floor...luckily the dog got out of the way, but they're lay my hard work on the ground...it was about a 4'fall too... The worst off was my tops bob which took a nasty chunk out of the edge it must've hit just right, gonna be a pinta to remove, my precious bk2 only took a slightly blunted tip, the mora was fine, and my schrade sch14 has some mild chipping in several spots...ugh just when I thought I was done...

AHHHHHH! CRINGE worthy, absolutely cringe worthy. I hate that.
Are you the kind of knife nut who can take comfort in knowing that now you have even more time to spend with your knives while you fix the damage?
My condolences :(

Luckily I have a work sharp, I'm going to need it's assistance with the BOB,

The worst part was my initial response was NOOOOOO!!!! as I begin to try saving my babies, lol luckily common sense kicked in an my brain was able to make the conscious decision that it probably wasn't a good idea to attempt catching my then razor sharp knives mid air.

Well I got the BOB fixed up, it was a pretty large and deep chip so unfortunately it required taking the edge back around a 1/16.

Wish I'd taken before pix of it.

Thanks, the kowskt blade grinding attachment was a life saver fixing it. Would've been forever on stones or sand paper alone.
