My First knife I ever bought with my own hard earned money the Buck Strider 880tx was stolen or "misplaced" at my own job    anyway I went out today looking and found out the Buck Strider 880tx is Discontinued making my day even worse  I ended up settling for the Buck Strider 880t and a Buck Sandman because the owner gave me a deal. what has this world gone to. Anyway just wondering whats the worst thing has happened to your favorite knife.

I bought a few Microtech UMS's over the last 2 years. Unfortunately everyone of them have the proprietory tri-wing screws. Two of the knives came with a slight blade play and the third developed it after some use. Unfortunetly, the tri-wing tool is $100 from Microtech:barf: . The experience is not as bad as losing a knife but at $150 per knife it hurts. I've now traded off or sold my UMS's and purchased a LUDT. The LUDT used torx screws and the tools for those screws are just a few dollars for the set. Proprietory screws are something that I'll avoid in the future when buying expensive knives.

An old gerber Mk I back in the late 70's when they still made them out of O1.

Not (always) my favorite knife, but my Camillus Heat was stolen at work (the Sheriff's Dept no less)...

The first good knife was a spyderco delicia. I had it for years until mall security "confiscated" it and refused to reurn it. That still irks me.
My first decent fixed blade was a Buck119 and I still have it and consider it a
underrated knife. My habit is getting worse ,this week I have bought a Swamprat m6 and will buy a Dogfather bowie tonight. Last week I ordered a Brusletto laminated carbon blade from Ragweed and I plan on buying a Buck hartsook soon.

my favorite/first decent knife when i was younger was my Gerber Gator

i lost it when i tossed it in a guy's yard so they could hose my own vomit off of me after my first real experience with alcohol

i didn't want it to get wet

i forgot to go find it afterward :(
