I was one of the lucky few who managed to grab a WP2 (w/ green paracord) from TAD before they all disappeared in what seemed like only hours. This knife can only be described as friggin' awesome! Perfect size for "do-everything" usage (short of chopping), and the single wrap paracord fits very comfortably in my hand (oooh that new paracord smell!). One of the hardiest knives (if not THE hardiest) I've ever used in a long time. Even the kydex sheath is exemplary. I had almost given up on kydex sheaths recently due to consistent problems from not only production knives, but also custom knives. Practically every kydex sheath I've used is too tight, too loose, digs trenches into the blade, or even generates ridiculous amounts of kydex snow-flakes every time a knife is unsheathed. While still not perfect, the sheath that with came with the WP2 is very well made, displaying little of the problems I regularly experience with kydex sheaths. Being my first Strider, I am definitely impressed and will be looking foward to future work from Strider. Overall, the WP2 has made a Strider fan out of me.
On to my questions -
Can I get some instructions (or possibly even pictures?) on how to do the single wrap? I am aware of the general double wrap instruction photos on Strider's website, but I want to make sure how to do the single wrap correctly should/when I need to change the paracord in the future.
Also, what diameter rope is the 550 paracord used on the WP2? I might use a different type of rope later on, but it should still be the same diameter and of similar tensile characteristics as the 550 paracord in order to fit in the sheath correctly.
Thanks in advance everybody, and especially to those at Strider!
Felix
