The wrong TGLB

So I ordered a TGLB in tanker grey and black G-10. While perusing this forum I found out about the CF. I called Busse and changed my order to CF with tan and black G-10. When it arrived today It was the original configuration. I understand that mistakes happen and I am sure that if I contact Busse tomorrow they would help me out. The question is now do I really want to bother them with this. It is a beautiful knife and I am in love. but could I love it more? It is going to be a user would the coated blade hold up better then the CF? Could I possibly survive the wait if I had to return it and wait for a new one?

While I make up my mind how about some pictures.

What do you guys think? Help me make up my mind.
 
I think the answer is pretty obvious. Keep it AND order the CF and tan/black G10. Just got mine and it's gorgeous (my other TGLB is a coated blade).
 
I would just go ahead and get both! If I had to have 1 and it was a user, I would take the coated blade every time over the combat finish. It will handle the wet conditions better and I think it looks sweet.
 
Personally I would just beat this one like you own it ( cuz you do :D ) and go ahead and order another one... you can't just own one TGLB, something ain't right about that.

As if there was ever any doubt this was the inevitable conclusion. Nice pants btw!
 
What's wrong with this? Both knife and sheath are very nice. Some option:
1. Keep this one and order a new one
2. Keep this one and use it as, or
3. Send it to me for proper disposal (Sheath included)

Beautiful combo you have there...
 
Nice. Id say get the other and keep the one you have now so you will have a blade while you wait. Also, thats a skystorm leather sheath right? Nice!
 
I too would just keep it and order another. I also have a tanker with black G10. Planning on ordering a CF and CG in different combos myself. I prefer the coated, less maintenance :) Nice leather, knife is a beauty too !!
 
Well I think you guys convinced me to love this one. If only I had the funds to order another one I would In a heart beat, unfortunately thats not in the cards.
The more I fondle this one though the more I remember this is the configuration that I went to bed and dreamed about for so many weeks when I originally ordered it.

jcrazy, you got it. It is a skystorm sheath. I have to give him credit i don't think I could imagine a sheath as well built and deserving of the TGLB. Also I forgot to take a picture with the pouch on the front of the sheath open but in the little leather triangle on the front it holds a esee arrow head as well!
 
Use it. Wear that coating. Then, strip it.......boom, ghetto Comp finish! All without having to send it back.

Of course, I am a bit lazy. And, I also really love the comp finish. So your choice. I am not in the "buy both" camp, but that is just because I am fiscally responsible, and if I don't have the money to buy both, I would not recommend that to others.

I need the money for other Busse, No doubling up on models for me, when there are other models I want too!
 
Bigfattyt I am with you if I had the money for a second TGLB I would probably invest it in a Rattlehawk!
 
As for the coating, I would keep what you have and once the coating is worn, you have the comp finish underneath. I have now stripped 2 of my blades and I was happy to have had them CG from the start. Plus even though INFI doesn't rust much, it does rust. I like the peace of mind of having the blade coated under the scales. On the other hand, you changed your scale option. If you really want the other scales I guess that's an issue. That's up to you if you want to wait for a replacement.
 
Wiggity I am aware of that thread and I hoped no one thought I was venting or blaming Busse for a problem. Like I said I'm sure they would help me if I contacted them with a problem. This thread was more to help myself decide if I even have a problem. I love the knife it's just not what I expected when I opened the box.
Now that I handle the knife more I remember how much I pinned for it before I even was aware of the CF and don't think I will even trouble the folks at Busse. The knife really is a home run!
 
I dunno... That TLGB looks alright to me! ;):thumbup: I like the sheath too. :)
