Uncle Bill,

Talk to Spark about getting this posted at the top of the Topics list where Spark and Mike put their announcements. I believe that this can be done on a forum specific basis and would eliminate your having to remember to bring it to the top ever so often as needed.

Is there a yes and no for sheathing a khukuri? That is, I have two HI khuks where upon insertion the tip will catch and sometimes pierce the back of the scabbard.

(It took me a while to figure this out -- I thought the sheath was tight on one!)

One is an Uncle Bill Especiale which has a pronounced upswept tip, so that may not be a surprise. The other is a 15" sirupati.

I have other khuks with no tendency at all for the tip to catch the crook in the back of the scabbard. YMMV.

I've watched kamis resheath a khukuri into a stubborn scabbard and they tap the end of the scabbard lightly (edge down) if the blade wants to hang up and about 98% of the time this does the job.
