Sorry guys, I just like posting pics of the Old School Schrades.

I'll start:

SCC2264G.jpg

Here is a SCC2264G, 3 1/4". I am guessing "green pearl" cell, but I could be wrong. A few nips off the 2nd blade, but a nice piece none-the-less.

Just received these 2 Cut. Co.'s in the mail, from the infamous auction site. The swell-center Jack had a crappy picture, but still went up to $102. It still has original polished finish showing through the patina and snaps like a dragon! Well worth it!
The sausage knife I bought because I like the advertising as well as the knife; Tasty;) !

I hope you did good as I don't know the values, but I really do like both of the knives and I think you did good to snag them. They're both in really good shape and I really like that sausage knife.

A little yeller feller from the old schoolhouse!

Unfortunately "cleaned" but the main lines are still there.
I'd rather see warts and all!

Ebay and A.G.Russell. The smoke you smell is my credit card:eek: !

Those are some good-uns, Charlie!

And some nice off-the-beaten-path patterns too.

The 899 is a favorite of mine.

Thanks for sharing.

Love that 899, here is my entry, as I haven't posted on the old school threads in a while. Not exactly schrade but close. This knife was beat to death, broken blades, handles, poor walk 'n' talk, and pitted badly. It is an electric knife Co. stamped walden new york. made in the late 1800's I believe. New york knife co. made these under contract for Electric knife co., some connection there I think, if not, oh well.

According to C. H. Price's 11th edition, Electric Cutlery Co. was a mark of Friedman and Lauderjung, a Newark N.J. importing firm (1866-1909) and their knives by that stamp were made by both New York Knife Co. and Walden Knife Co. NYKC (Founded 1852) closed in 1931. Walden Knife Company (founded 1874) closed in the mid 1920's. (1923 while under the ownershiip of Winchester, according to John Goins)

According to John and Charlotte Goins, the fuller brothers purchased NYKC in 1903, and operated both firms until 1910 when the Newark operation was closed. Electric knives marked "Walden" were produced in the New York Knife Company plant as a second line to their "Hammer Brand" knives. The Electric trademark was used until about 1920.
