"This product is no longer available and the price is shown as a reference only."

Looks like it is down and dead, there at least.

I'll be writing an email to show my dissatisfaction with them doing so. Other dealers have taken notice and if Arizona Custom Knives get enough emails they may do the same.

Just a reminder guys, some of these dealers may not be aware of this issue. Be courteous and don't jump to conclusions when contacting them. I'd make them aware of the issue and let them respond from there. It will only look bad on us if we jump on every dealer out there to list this knife. Our job should be to inform, and respond to the dealers actions from then on out.

This is what I came up with.

I am writing this email to urge your store to stop selling the
Microtech Matrix folder. I'm sure your probably already aware but if
not the Microtech Matrix is a blatant
copy of the anticipated release by Kershaw/ZT 0777. There is a whole
back story I won't bore you with but the knife community has shown its
distaste in Microtechs
business practices and has urged dealers to not sell the Microtech
Matrix and many of them are doing just so. Deciding to do so would go
a long way with many in the
community and show that Arizona Custom Knives cares more than just
making sales. Thanks you for your consideration.

I sent a respectful, but firm, email stating that they are selling a blatant rip off design, and they shouldn't. Maybe it will help, maybe it won't, but I feel better.

Just so there's no confusion, that message is displayed on all sold items on AZCK. (Just click on any knifemaker's name and then click the "View all knives previously sold by [knifemaker's name]" link.) There is, of course, a chance that they retracted the knife from sale in a way that would lead to that message being displayed, but IMHO it's more likely that someone simply bought it.

So I'm giving a provisional :thumbdn: to AZCK.

Although I do enjoy watching a really agitated lynch mob go after everyone they think needs a good ass whippin' this really makes more sense. Not nearly as much fun, but a lot more sense.

I think that most dealers, especially those held in high esteem here will respond well without the threats of boycotts, encouragement of lawsuits, intentional dirtying of the dealer's name, etc., that was championed in the thread Thomas shut down.

As I said before, I just have to wonder how many dealers and distributors will be taking it in the shorts over this.
