They've advertised a new folder (FH-9) in the new Blade and not even their OWN WEBSITE has any specs on weight.
It's 3-G, 90mm (3.5") and..... PURRR-DEEE!!!

With no data on it.

GRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I tried the PXL and returned due to the weight.

:grumpy:

The PXL looks like a fantastic knife, but is heavy---it weighs in at 6.2 ounces.

It is a fantastic "little" knife and the weight just makes it feel so solid in hand. I had a micarta ivory one, but think I'll spring next for the burgandy micarta.:D

I'm always amazed at how out of date most websites are. It seems that a manufacturers website would be the first place to go for new product announcements and such but they are ususally way behind.

Spyderco's website is always behind on the latest and greatest models...which is why it's so nice to be on BladeForums. You always hear the good gossip before it's too late. :D

I purchased a PXL but sold it. Way too heavy for pocket carry and it was as thick as some multi-tools or SAKs. Great knife as far as the steel and construction went though.

You could be more polite. Try it, it will not hurt. Peter & Eric are nice knife people. Not dirty rotten whatever.

And if you check their website you'll find everything you need to know.

Kind regards,

Jos

What's that line that goes around the edge? Is it a laminated steel? It looks like one ugly brute of a knife. Does it have a built-in flashlight?

It was INTENDED to be "tongue in cheek." Sorry if you (or Peter) saw it as an actual "attack" on their fine company.

It's MY fault as I really LIKE their knives and had to chase a PXL all over the world to get one.

Which I returned because it was too HEAVY.

But the FH9 looks to be a good one.

IF I ever find a store that handles them

:)
