I was recently looking for something, and came across my grandfathers pocket or pen knife with his initials. I thought how things have changed. I don't remember him since he passed away when I was just an infant. Knife has to be from the early 20's I believe. Things sure have changed a lot. If you have a comparison pic with your current CRK EDC & an old family knife, please feel free to post a pic.

Great idea for a thread. The Schrade Old Timer was my Grandfather's. When I got it, from my dad, it was in pretty bad shape. A few hours of TCL and some time with the sharpmaker it is in my EDC rotation now. The CRK small 21 was my first CRK and will go to my son one day.

Best,

That's a special knife. I remember my dad carrying an "Old Timer" just like that when I was a kid. I will have to ask him if he still has it.
Thanks for sharing rnbtexas.

Here are a few that were passed down to me. The top and farthest one to the right were my great grandfathers knives. He was a coal miner in KY, kinda surprised they lasted long enough to get passed to me. The bottom two belonged to my grandfather, he carried the case knife on every fishing trip we went on. I still carry it when I go fishing.
