There are many like it, but this one is mine. (Pride of CRK Sebenza ownership)

Stop comparing your $50 knife to a Sebenza. I know there are so many threads with the love/hate thing going on. Or other knife owners trying to say why they would never own a Sebenza because of the price. I have been searching and searching for other companion knives within the same price range. There are a lot of great makers. I just do not really find anyone worth buying that really compares to the F&F of a CRK Sebenza. There are many reviewers that love so many of their $300-$400 range of knives. It seems that most go back to their Sebenza. They are the standard reference point for collectors. I see the love on this side of the forums. And I feel it is okay to question the recent QC issues also. In the end we can all find the middle ground. We can agree to disagree on many points. Realistic and a fanboy. From being a newbie to CRK, young and old, I think most of us can agree on one thing. We love our Sebenza's. So, show the love! Discuss.

I agree! We must remember that tall trees catch a lot of wind. I still believe that the CRK folders (Mnandi and Umnumzaan included) are THE gold standard that others are compared to for a very good reason. I love my CRKs and while there are indeed others which are good too, these are mine and I love them. I am not blind and own other very nice knives too, but if I had to choose one maker only I wouldn't hesitate one fraction of a second. I'm married to CRK folders but have the occational other mistress (unlike in real life;)).

Yea I've never understood the anger I've seen behind some of the negative CRK threads. Especially by people that have never owned one:p

I've owned and still own knives that hold an edge better than my Sebenzas, but guess what's in my pocket day in day out? I guess I do my voting with my bank account. As do most people. Hell, I've seen f*&# CRK threads and once the blood letting stopped those same people end up buying more. I think that speaks volumes.

I started out with $30 knives then did a belly flop into $200, $400, $800 custom knives a short time later. About a year after that I got my first Sebenza. Large Micarta 21. Then sold off alot of those custom knives to purchase more Sebenzas. I just received another yesterday and had my next three purchases in mind before I even opened up Large Micarta Insigno. Talk about sick:D

I couldn't really tell you why. It's not for the CRK name, it seems for every CRK fan there's an arrogant naysayer or some numb nut beating the spine of a Sebenza against a table like it was a battle hammer(have you guys seen that? Even after the poor boy beat the crap out of the spine the lock still didn't fail, then he said Chris Reeve must've made this lock harder because he knew this guy would be testing it:rolleyes:).

I guess having 30 years experience making knives, having a customer service team that absolutely rocks, and winning award after award years in a row makes for one hell of a product. Who knew?:D

At this point I've completely lost track of the topic but hope I've stayed somewhat on point. What the hell is this thread about again?:o

Oh yea, I love my CRK's:thumbup:

I saw that video. I never new a knife was for that point. Or to test it that way. Don't you point downward force on the blade anyways? You summed up what I was thinking in my head perfectly river! It's not the CRK name. It's the look and the feel of it. How it opens. The shape. For me, nothing out there quite looks like a small Sebenza Insingo /with Micarta. The inlay options, along with a few different blade shapes and the damascus options are insane. The whole mnandi thread that dino and lisantica owned along with others pics were amazing. Yeah a lot of other makers intererest me. The knife world as a whole is pretty sweet. We get it, others and our families do not. So why is there a bunch of us arguing all of the time about why somone is wrong for what or who they like? I'm not sure. We are all using the money that we make to talk. None of us besides some Youtube reviewers are making any money off of this. Even one reviewer that we all know.(Most of us like) GOt screwed by the haters on Youtube. We are all losing money. Ha...Our wallets are very thin! We should all support eachother's opinion and tastes. Not gang up and attack like I have seen. The scariest thing is more so about the state laws everywhere trying to take away some knife rights. Right?
