Please allow me to introduce my brand new, just came in the mail today ... GEC Northfield #66. :D

It's going to be impossible to keep from adding more of these to the collection. I can see that already.

As much as I like my Case knives... THIS KNIFE... is absolutely beautiful! I love the stag and the overall fit and finish is amazing.

[sorry for the crappy pics] :(

A stag stockman is a wonderful thing! And that's an exceptional one!!
They live and breathe knives over at GEC. . . .

The Calf Roper is my favorite pattern from GEC. I have two (cocobolo and micarta) and would buy a third if I could find one with stag that nice. I think you've got a winner.

I have 2 a UNXLD in indian choffee and a tidi in dead skunk

the UNXLD is one of my fav light carries, great score!

That's a very classy looking knife I really am impressed with GEC's quality control and overall F & F I too love my Case(For the money their great) knives but I think GEC has an edge on them.

Congrats! My first GEC I kind of went, why I have I been spending so much money on knives??? You mean I can spend MUCH LESS and be even happier??? :)

Thank u for posting those pics; GEC is top of my list and at 99% it will become my first (and possibly only) American traditional folder. Not sure if I will have it in stag or wood, and I have never even seen or handled one, but I love their patterns and I trust the opinions of the forumites here, and ur pics and thread come just at the right time.
So it seems u are just one step ahead of me...but not for long...

Well, I hope you enjoy the knife by using it.

A very nice knife, by the way ;)

Congratz to that really great piece of blade.

Kind regards
Andi

Now that it's the weekend, I'll try and take a couple of better pictures since I have time to do so. I have been a knife knut most of my life but I never really got into collecting "better" knives until earlier this year...and with that said, this GEC is by far one of my better acquisitions.

I will definitely carry it, and who knows...it may bump my current EDC.
