There hungry this winter.

When the snow stays on the ground for the length of time it has this year
We sometimes see these small hawks hanging around the bird feeder.

This one sat and watched the forest floor for almost two hours, watching for some tasty morsel to make a move. But too no avail he flew away still hungry.

I love hawks. My sister in law has a casibo and had a couple humming bird feeders hanging around and of course hummingbirds. Next a little sparrow hawk shows up and camps out there. She thought it was so cool. Until, she saw it snatch one of the hummingbirds and started munching down. LOL. He thought it was a buffet.
