..... that didn't fit my hands and needed a workover.

I wanted the tip with improved penetration capacity. So I placed a facet on the spine near the tip.

I needed more space on the handle. I reduced the size and width of the guard.
You wouldn't believe how much of a difference this makes when it comes to comfort

And as you already noticed, I stripped the blade, changed the shape of the scales and acid etched the blade with mustard.

Now it's my favorite blade (at the moment:D)

I love seeing mods, even ones I don't like, it just adds flavor to what otherwise is common ground..

this one I like, good job all the way around..

Well done man. Custom work is good stuff. I like to see someone who gets a good tool and is not afraid to take the time and do the work to make it the tool they need it to be (when it is reasonable to do so) instead of sitting and complaining "I wish it was..." Again great work, looks awesome, may it serve you well. Now that it's cleaned up it's time to dirty it up! :D

God bless,
Adam

Thanks for your comments.
BTW, after finishing the knife, the Kydex didn't fit anymore.
I carefully heated it up over a flame, and adjusted the softend Kydex.
Well, I almost overdid. Now it's jump-proof:D

We need pics!

It didn't turn out as nice as the OP's knife. I didn't leave the olives on long enough so they are kind of light and don't photograph well. It was kind of a test to see what would happen but next time they are going on for a good couple hours. plus the next one will be an olive wood handled opinel if i can find one with a carbon steel blade.
