and you only have time to get your family (and pets), a few keepsakes and you only have enough time to save ONE knife. What knife?

I keep all of my nice knives in a pouch together, so I'd just grab the pouch and run.

But if I could only grab one, it would probably be my auto(not quite sure of the manufacturer, but it's a pretty nice knife)

my Blue Native!

I'd rather burn-up than leave ANY of MY knives behind!.

...Seriously, I'd grab one of my REKAT Sifu...More than likely it'd be the D-2 Enhanced.

For as long as I have it -- 10 days or the rest of my life -- it would have to be my surprised purchase -- a gray turd! I keep my knives in only 3 locations, so if I could get to 1, I could get to a minumum of 3.

Or, since the Sebenza is clipped to my trousers, could put on my trousers/shorts, and grab another knife or bunch. Guess I'd have to pick between my S-2, my Apache, and my Wegner.

what knife?
gosh thats a tuffy.
theres a few i wouldnt worry about...my two grecos and becker brute, they would show the fire who's boss.
my carson would probably be on my pocket while i sleep,so i think i would go for my BM October KOTM...that or my AFCK.

My Ed Fowler Pronghorn. Anything else that I have can can be pretty easily replaced, but I would be sick to lose the Pronghorn.

My buddy Keith Brown, deceased, he whom got me started this whole knife collecting "thang" was big on Ready bags, good to go....

Keith had been with the 101st in 'Nam during '67-'68, and had kept it simple since.

Part of what he imparted on to me back then still holds water today.

Rafting the Merced a few weeks back, the guides were really jazzed that I had all our gear stuffed into two duffels.

ALICE packs are cheap at the shows, carry much, and wear easy.

On a side, I'd set my ex's family up with emergency kits in blue 55Gal. drums for X-Mas back in '93. They laughed. They stopped laughing when the Northridge earthquake hit 2 miles from their home 22 days later!

Be ready, be prepared.

It would definitely have to be my Benchmade 42 Balisong.

Whatever is closest as I am chasing the dog and cat....

If I have the smarts, either Mad Dog or Randall Fireman. Hell, I meant to sell em anyway, let State Farm buy em!

Well you said knife so that would have to be the Randall Model 1 six inch I've carried since 1966.

But if you said blade, it would be the 14th century katana that I found disguised in WWII mountings and bought for $ 175 in 1986. It was restored by a good friend who is a master sword polisher and I use it every morning for Iaido.
