Saw this on an email from a knife dealer in my state. OMG, it's...it's...it's this.

Is this actually a thing now?

Been a thing on flea market and gas station knives for at least 10 years, if they're just now catching up with the flea market junk this thing must be pretty bad.

New to me. Guess it's cuz I don't knife shop at gas stations. I draw the line at snacks & gas.

Protech has made some Rose Gold Blade finishes that look alright.

can't stand anything bronze/gold shaded...
it's hard enough even with dlc or titanium nitride grey coatings

the only thing which browning has done recently that was interesting - hemp micarta, which seems like it should be great but I haven't got one yet

Kershaw does both a Leek and a Chive in gold now too... but at least they aren’t as quite an obnoxious shade of gold. Not my thing, but I guess they gotta try to keep things fresh.

Still, in my eyes, not as bad as the rainbow stuff that was big for a while...

But hey, style is subjective. Just because I don’t like them, doesn’t mean they won’t sell.

So if S really hits the fan, you can smoke your knife.

My rainbow Leek was a gift from my son, so of course, I treasure it.

Straight from Fleabay...

Lot of 2 Gerber Paralite 5Cr13MoV Rose Gold and Champagne Folding Pocket Knives.

It's not the price...oh no, it's the marketing terms 5Cr13Mov, Gold & Champagne that really turn me on to the purchase.

I gifted one to my wife, after she saw a picture of one somewhere. It arrived, and is as gaudy as you'd expect but A. she loves it and carries it and B. I am comfortable in that it's actually a well-made little knife.

I like to look at stuff like that, but I would never buy one. I like plain polished or stone wash finishes. No paint.

I can't actually say too much, since my wife carries a P238 in pimpalicious purple, that I bought for her. Like the rainbow Leek, it's a quality piece, but it's definitely not to my personal taste...

Guys, I've got a Böker Magnum Goldfinger, don't tell me you think that is a POS as well?
