About a decade ago, I bought my wife a pink SAK. It's a 91mm Spartan that they made for only a limited time with this white "pin stripe" around the outside.

After carrying around and not using it.... But... not losing it, she has started to like the utility and convenience of having her own knife and not having to bug me all the time.

I felt great, because she started using it finally today to open / flatten / break down some boxes when I was passed out on the couch.... So... DOUBLE (TRIPLE?) WIN!!!

Wife is starting to make use of her SAK, I got a nap and now don't have to break down those boxes!! :D:p:cool:

Anyone elses wife finally see the light one day, after years of "hint dropping"??

My girlfriend confuses me when it comes to knives. She doesn't carry one, but loves sharpening for some reason. Not very well it has to be said, but that's okay. When I get a new knife she's always interested, but if I gave her one she'd only lose it.
But Victorinox might be an idea. Start her off with a classic or something for her keychain and see how she goes.

Your girl got a sister? I need me a girl that likes to sharpen! Could be a bonding experience and open up a new way to make quips about fun time :D .

A kick-ass little Victorinox is the Floral or Gardiner model. Also available in pink and purple. :p

Great little sheepsfoot blade with a 4" handle that is an amazing slicer (15° chisel grind) and super lightweight and inexpensive.

My wife carries a purple SAK Classic + AA flashlight in her purse because of me. She didn't like the items hanging off her key chain.

She said she uses the flashlight the most. It's dark when she gets out of work. She also uses the scissors more then the blade on the SAK.

At least I know she has them.

I made the mistake of letting my wife pick a knife to carry. I set them all out she’s asked about a couple and she says, “Oh, This one is pretty!” She picks up a Reate New Torrent. Then a Reate Fallout 2.0. Both are very large knives. After some trial and error she likes the Leatherman Juice.

Showed my wife the big opinel folding sword. I think she wants it...

But I'm probably going to get her a no. 10. She wants something decent sized. And if she doesn't like it I'll take it lol!

But she needs her own knife. She'll borrow one of mine once in a while, never carries one just asks for one to open something in the kitchen.

Mine has carried and used a SAK Climber for a while. Got her a Claus sheepfoot for opening packages - now uses it all the time; the SAK is carried now in her purse.

Your wife ROCKS!!! (please tell I said so). I have never gotten my wife to carry a knife but you should what she can do with a .45 Auto or a S&W revolver. It's unbelievable. Of course she didn't get into the gun thing until some creep tried to get into her hotel room one night in Chicago. She got "WOKE" real quick. She came home and asked me to buy her a carry gun and teach her to shoot. So I did. I really almost feel sorry for anyone who messes with her now. Almost.
