Thermal oxidation results

Yep, I finally got around to doing it. I used a cheap pencil torch to oxidize the handles in incriments. I heated up a section, quenched it, heated up the next section(btwn the large holes) etc etc... I attempted to keep it all yellow but ended up with a few tiny purple spots. It took less than 30 minutes. Maybe I'll even it out and put purple spots btwn all the large holes, or make it all purple

Woah, I love your results! It looks awesome! I have a question, though. Does anyone know how long the color will last, since SGTP used a pencil torch? Or does this even matter? Great job, SGTP... the yellow looks very even.

Getting an even color is quite a difficult thing to do. I know because I've tried.
