Thermo Coupler Mounting Location

I recently purchased an Omega thermo coupler. I've been trying to find the best place to mount it, but I've noticed the slightest of change in location can alter the temp reading drastically. Where is the best place to mount it? Primarily using the middle burner on a three burner Majestic.
