My first Badger came today, and it is MUCH bigger than I expected. It dwarfs my HRLM and my other supposed 5" bladed knives. I compared it to a Strider MT Mod10, a SOG Seal Pup, and even a CS SRK. It is much bigger than the first two and less than half an inch shorter than the SRK with its 6" blade, but is much more substantial overall than any of them. If it isn't a Wolverine, it is definitely a Badger on steroids!

I only ordered one because I thought it would be too small for me to give it much use (I mostly use 6-7" blades), but I was definitely wrong. So I ordered another a few minutes ago. One to baby, one to beat.

Glad you like it --- Congrats on a great blade!

I'm still waiting for mine...

Wolverine!!?? A Badger is a powerful mighty creature! Feared and known throughout the land. Might as well have said that it is a Buckeye or a Gopher.... Wolverine - pah!

This knife is a BADGER !! Go Badgers !! :D

Yes, it pained me to say it being a native Ohioan and a long time resident of Minnesota, but these are definitely too big to be ordinary Badgers. Maybe they are Joe Thomas Badgers (even us Ohioans can like him now that he's been drafted by the Browns:D )

Now the Game Wardens, those could be gophers ...

The best Badger description I ever read was in a book called Mountain Man by Vardis Fisher. He describes a Grizzly who encounters a Badger. The Badger bites the bear's nose and won't let go. The bear swipes at it a few times with no results. He finally remembers he's a Grizzly Bear and tears the Badger in half. Later examination of the shredded Badger found the bear's nose still firmly clenched in the Badger's jaws. Yikes!

Badgers ROCK!
