I've been trying for 4 years to get a 3.5" Spanto flipper... I just can't believe how difficult it is to procure such a product. I've even given up looking for a blue-black and will just accept whatever color I can get. I see pictures on the Blade Show thread of rows and rows of knives and it makes me sick! Rant over.

Spantos haven't exactly been the focus of current production runs, they have been making Skinners, Wharnies, Bowies and Spearpoints in 3.5". They have made more knives in the past six month period than any six month period in their history. Funny thing, another social media outlet is having a discussion today on how common Hinderer XMs have become.

To the OP: Wish that was true...my wallet could never disagree more.:D:D:D

If your not stuck on just the Spanto, just about every RHK dealer has some XM's in Slicer, Bowie, Spearpoint, and/or Wharnies in stock.

Have you tried creating a WTB thread in the Exchange? I too thought my grail was hard to find but was contacted after a random post in a thread. Couldn't afford it, but point being, they're out there. Keep looking.

Be careful what you wish for.... :D

I'd echo going the WTB route, you'd be surprised what's out there.

Also go to any dealer selling them who's out of stock and fill in the restock notification.

I do agree the Spantos are the most difficult to find these days, and by far my favorite blade for a Hinderer. I plan to add a 3.5 to the 3 and 4 I have now.

My only Spanto is my XM24, I have a 3.5 spearpoint and soon to have a wharncliffe as well, but a 3 or 3.5 spanto is on my short list for sure.
