These look like Interesting Knife Concepts

The sheaths are about the only good thing in that set up. The knives look too "gimmicky", although I DO like the idea of having a combination of knives mounted to a common sheath, and the sheath having survival goodies on/in it. I took my Campanion and taped a nylon sheath to it for a Schrade skinner to handle delicate chores the Campanion couldn't do, and an M-16 pouch with 2 compass pouches added to it to hold a complete kit. It looks like the maker of that knife set had the same idea, but chose some fundky blades to build his set around. I did like the fact that it looked like the sheath was set up to be worn across the shoulder, sort of like a "Tanker" holster for a handgun. And the sheaths were definitely well-made. But the knives are a little weird. And if you follow that link in the last post, it shows some more pics of the knives and sheaths, and a rather disturbing insight into the maker's psyche. Got a bit of the *Rambo* thing going on.

It' funny,
I had the other reaction to the sheaths, for the simple reason that I don't want to carry all my knifes in one place!

When I go into the woods, I usually have 3 knives
1) my edc knife in my pocket
2) my main hunting knife on my belt
3) a backup in my pack

This way, if I LOOSE any one item of gear, I don't loose all my knives

Now my current EDC is on my belt, so I will have to change HOW I carry it for when I'm in the woods

I saw the same idea in a knife mag.. oh.. a year ago. It might have been knives of Alaska who makes the rig, but I'm not sure. I think all of the file work on those knives would be danger osu to the user! But I haven't handled the knives. The set idea is a good one though.

Charles, I agree that if my sheath knives were ALL I carried, having all of my survival gear and knives on one sheath would be begging for trouble. But I also have a Mora 2000 I wear as a neck knife, and a couple of pocket knives, plus a pocket survival kit, so I would have to be totally naked to lose ALL of my gear at once. I put my knife kit together the way I did to save space on my belt. In case I was needing to carry a bunch of mag pouches and other weapons related gear, for instance, I could have a complete survival kit in the same amount of belt space that one canteen or mag pouch would occupy.
