It made me think of how I don't really own all these old Buck knives--I'm just the proud caretaker for a while.

Some will last a hundred years and some many more than that.

They will be with me for just a short part of their lifetimes.

After I'm gone, they'll go on to new owners and new adventures.......just like that old guitar.

Oh man is that true. I've got my grandfathers very small Camillus pen knife that my older brother just gave me. Scary sharp. He was an old Norwegian who lived most of his life in Alaska. Built their house, their boats, hunted, fished, was even a US marshall for 16 years. He passed away in 1964 and now all I have of him are some pics and this little knife. Wish it could talk and share a few stories. Who knows who will own our knife/stuff when its our turn to check out.
