oh god, i would SO love to have this. its beautiful! granted, i semi-wish it could be one of the framelock deals, but oh well :)

The third one down, the Pirela Commander, does exist, I own one myself as do a few others here !
 
Joel hasn't jumped in so I'll try to shed some light.

Joel is an extremely talented individual. Both in his blade design and his computer skills. Some time back, Joel did some playing around and came up with the top picture (Reese is currently making a similar conversion now), calling it the "Wave Master". The Tanto bladed Commander is a concept that Joel did to change the blade a tad. I personally really liked that design.

The "Pirela Commander" again was Joel playing around. That's the Rhino looking one. When I saw it, I fell in love and asked his permission to seek out a maker to make it come true. Several makers were contacted and I was turned down at every door. Imagine my suprise when I was contacted by a maker wanting to take it on. Bill Seigle really liked the look too and wanted to try it.

I think a tanto Comander with the Ti frame lock handle would be nice for EDC.

I think instead of calling the Weiland framelock commanders the wave master it should just be called what it is.
