I was looking around and found that not only are the Chinese copying the sebenza but they are now trying to copy the damascus :thumbdn:

This is getting really sad.

Wow...i bet they feel like they actually accomplished something by producing nasty ass fakes..."shakes head"

You might be disappointed, I hear they make a small hardly noticeable sound to them when you open them. I'm sure you'd notice though. Also, there is no warranty.

HAH. Yeah, I dunno it appears to be a framelock, titanium, just different steel. For a fraction of the cost.

I'm sure a CRK is way better, but still appears to be a decent knife.

they have been doing this for over 10 years. Boy are you right on top of things. Most of them come from Pakistani. I can see china got into it also. I am surprise that they took this long to do it. I see it in the swords that I use to sell at the flemarkets.

Don't worry, I received an e-mail from an Internet Service Provider in Shanghai this morning wondering if we had business partners or a distributor in China. Someone was trying to register "njsteelbaron.CN" as their company site. At least the provider had the decency to ask me if they were legit and if not the request for domain would be denied. I promptly told them no, and nor will we. Ever. Nipped that in the butt. They did the right thing, but I'm not happy it even happened.

At least the copy cat doesn't say Idaho Made. It's obvious they listen to their customers :0)

All in good fun folks....

I attended a "Hooker Convention" last weekend and picked up this little jewel. I was reluctant to go until I found out it was a "CRK Fake Damascus" Themed Event ~ sponsored by some local girls and a few hard-pipe-hittin pimps. So, curiousity got the best of me and I brought this little guy home to commemorate the event.:p

This is just spam.
Don't be fooled.
Everyone is getting these emails.
I get several like this per day in the last few weeks.

I better have my Sebbies checked by a doctor. You know, just in case... Gotta love Photoshop :)

Love that Damascus pattern on your real Sebbie. I called CRK to see if they'd make an Insingo grind in Damascus. I asked very nicely, but no dice. Maybe they'll cave in eventually.

I love the Spirograph, too bad it's no longer available. I inquired about an Ole Glory with Spirograph Damascus on a Blue Damascus Blade = not going to happen. I'd actually love to have a Spirograph Zaan as my EDC. I wouldn't be surprised though, to see some Insingo or Zaan enhancements in the future. It makes more sense to me for CRK to release current products with different aesthetics, as opposed to ground-up development of new products.
