They are playing down the threat - but just in case we get blown up...

The stadium will probably be the safest place to be.

These schmo's aren't going to tip their own hand. They didn't on 9/11. Fanatical secrecy is part of their "religion." So is deception.

Enjoy the game!

I'm going to get into trouble for saying this but this is just my opinion and no offence is meant. I would say that the media/political complex is exadurating the risk of dieing in terrorist attack not playing it down.

To watch North American media you would hardly believe that no one has died in a terrorist attack in the last 5 years. It is in the interest of politicians and the media to keep everybody afraid. If we are afraid we will not question as readily what is being done to our civil liberties.

The media do buissness by provoking fear, not just of terrorism but of crime (which has been decreading for 20 years) and global warming (which is by no menas understood).

Heck...at least Cleveland would have a good excuse for losing...

Bengals? No wonder my Zeds keep looking for you Ted... ;)

That's usually the case. You put a little weasel of a man in a room full of jackbooted beureaucrats and he's liable to tell them anything to keep them hanging on his every word.

IMO, it was a classic English to Arab to English translation mistake. The original message was that Bruce Springsteen was going to sing there, hence the dirty bum scenario ... :D

why couldnt they do america a favor and take out hockey instead or maybe the nba-

shows what real monsters they are by going after football games-

I would....less channels to surf past on my TV.....:p

The NHL is getting to big, I like hockey but I couldnt give a damn about hockey teams from florida, somewhere that has never seen ice outside of a fruity rum based drink. Come to think of it why did quebec city and winipeg loose thier hockey teams but Carolina, Nashville, and Pheonix get them? Judging by the comments on this thread most americans (outside of minesota) dont like hockey. So why so many teams where nobody will pay to go to games? Already the whole season for my home team is sold outand they've been playing for two weeks.

That may be; but, at least the Florida Panthers have decorated that team by adding chearleaders (I believe Maxxam is negotiating to do a photo spread soon).

Its called capitolism....

What I found hilarious is that Canada, according to MLB cannot support a baseball team, but they are considering expanding into Mexico. Ouch...

Oh yea.... Hahahahahahahaha Carolina won the cup!

I assure you this is untrue...unless you mean, in the United States. I consider military vehicles, buildings, and personnel legitimate targets of war, but here and in Iraq, nonmilitary personnel are frequently targeted- one of the classic definitions of terrorism.

I seem to remember beheadings, etc. Maybe it was Haliburton which was beheading folks eh Grob?
