I went camping with my father in Westchester county (New York) and when we went for supplies just outside of the campsite, I spotted a True Value hardware store. My Dad went to the supermarket and I told him I'd be right with him. I poked my head into the hardware store and there - just above the counter was an old Schrade display - FULL! All USA made! The back was loaded with every model in the display. No screaming deals on the prices, so I quickly pulled two 94OTs ($29.99) and a 34OT ($28.99) and checked out. I would be more specific about the location, but I'm going back!

I was so psyched - they are still out there!

Always check for the ones that might NOT be in the display. Then you get really psyched!

Can't hear you Kevin:eek: !! Your voice is fading!! Quick, tell us where you are so we can rescue you; you must be in the TWILIGHT ZONE:eek:  !!!!!!

Let's see. . . Google, towns in Westchester county, NY. oh yeah, refine search, true value. Kool . . . 7 hits, lets print out those addresses, program the GPS, stop by the gas station and head out.

"Yes ma'am, that's lovely perfume you're wearing, can I look inside of your knife case please!"

Hey Kevin,

I'm right across the river from you buddy! I'm taking the next three days off and crisscrossing Westchester County till I find the place!:D :D
(Just kidding, I can't afford to take one day off :grumpy: thanks to my knife debt:rolleyes: :D )

Nice finds!

A big part of the fun is in finding them. I`ve had good luck in hardware stores.

Hardware stores are good, I agree, but don't overlook feed stores or Western stores. They have produced some nice finds for me.

Old gun shops too. Some of them are off the beaten path on dirt roads.

Don't forget online dealers, too. Here are three painfully mint Schrade Cut. Co.s from A.G.Russell's site; even better than I hoped. When I opened them in the post office today, I nearly wept!!

In response to some email requests, here's the link I should have posted above, for the Schrade collection A.G.Russell has on sale. It's mixed in with other knives but I know you will find them!
