They Arrved!

let us know which steel ya prefer, from using and sharpening, between the Krupp ones ya got and these Chinese steel ones.

Slip joint, OK. I was wondering what the difference was. The original was already "lite"(cheap).
I wonder if the new steel will be super rust-resistant like Krup?

From what I read about 5CR15MoV, it's used a lot in kitchen cutlery, and is (quote/unquote) "highly corrosion resistant".
I'm guessing it won't patina. :(

That sheath on the right is outstanding. who made that?
Thanks. I don't know who made it. I found it at the big knife store in Tennessee's site. They didn't mention who made it. Nothing in the cellophane bag it was in, and no tag either.

(they not a supporting dealer, so I can' mention them by name.)

Kudu ring lock (on port side) Kudu Lite Slipjoint (on starboard side, next to sheath.)

Used the Kudu Lite to shred the package and address label. :)

Both are "recent" 5CR15MoV, not 1.4116 Krupp, like my other Kudu ring locks, and Eland's.
Too early to comment on edge holding.

Only difference you should notice is in how CS heat treated them. Nice little knives for the money.
