A couple of round/head knives on their way to saddle makers in Texas and Oklahoma.

Those are very cool. Did you cut them out of a saw blade or ?

No, these are cut from a 6" X 36" X 1/16" sheet of ATS-34. They're RC 59-61.
Its a specialty knife used to cut saddle components ( or other things like sheaths) from leather.

If what looks like grind lines on the right one really are there, that's very clean grinding for
1/16". I'm impressed :)

Is it a convex or flat grind?

I may have to try making one of these when I finally start making sheaths.

They're convex ground with a gradual taper starting from about 5/8" back from the edge. Convex seems to be the most effective grind for this kind of knife.
