But today three GOOD things happened simultaneously! I received a #12 spanner bit (as recommended by AR_Shorty) that I bought online for $3.50 and I received a new blue stonewashed titanium scale from an online Hinderer dealer. I love the blue stonewashed finish and it feels great. Not a noticeable increase in weight that I can tell... The 3rd good thing is that I learned what it means to dial in the "sweet spot"... My goodness! It's flipping relaxed and smooth with just a quick flip of the finger and rocketing out when I use the thumbstud. It feels amazing... And it's only 12:30 pm my time and it's a gorgeous sunny day (good thing #4)... knock on wood...

Feels great in the hand too. Great grip and yet nice smooth edges. The quality of the texturing is unbelieveable. Every diamond is perfect. I'm still going to get the smooth bronze stonewashed Ti scale and some blue standoffs so I can vary the look once in a while... keep things "fresh". I really do like the look of the solid scale though compared to the liner and G10 split.

Very nice looking knife! Glad the spanner bit worked out for you. Now I got to get myself a Ti scale for mine.

AR - check out the armorers tool thread - I posted a photo of how I mounted the spanner bit for left hand operation while holding the knife.

Ring pin. It's a Pivot fastener

I found it at a local marine hardware store I was wandering through while my wife was at a yarn shop next door.
