Thick blades thin blades.

SOG is known for having thick blades. I noticed that some of the new folders are pretty thin. Is SOG planning on beefing up any of them? I think it would help their overall strength in some hard use situations like lite prying and some military use. I have always loved the Tomcat and think it is one of the best folders made! I guess the heavyness never wore off! Keep up the good work!

Hi Chris,

Often, our knives are proportionally thick or as thick as the knife needs to be for its intended purpose. The Tomcat is a beefy knife with a .20" blade and it designed to be a "monster." With that thickness also comes weight. Tactical folders need to be strong, but can't be blade heavy.
