Thick / wrinkle finish? Any info/experience and photos please.

I'm looking to pick up my first Swamp Rat in a week or so. I'm curious about the really thick, cratered green finish on the RMD's and others. How does it hold up? Any photos of it after some use?

I really like the smoother OD finish, but am not really sure about that textured green one. What do you think of it?

According to those at the Swamp the thicker finishes like "Bama Clay" or the mottled OD are holding up better than a straight color type finish.

Ancient lore dictates single colors in white and then tan as being the toughest that stay around the longest. Of course there is no quantifiable data around that we know of.
