Are the liners thicker on new Emersons? I think I read something about this in a thread a while ago. Which models have this feature? The thin liners are the only thing that keeps me from buying more.

The current production CQC-10's have a thicker liner on the lock side.

roshi - thanks. What about the locking liner on the SOCFK? BTW, how does the Wave work on the SOCFK? One would imagine (from the looks of things anyway) that the finger guard could get hung up or cause some other problems when “waving”.

no probs at all waving a SOCFK, 1 of my fav non custom emersons.

before they waved the '7 i could never figure why anyone would get a '7 vs a SOCFK. they rock imho.

I think the latest versions of the CQC 13 has a real thick liner lock on one side.

I agree, this may be something he will phase in. I just got a nib mini Commander and she has the standard liners!

Most of the knives still use the .050" liners. The HD7 and CQC12 are framelocks. I did notice that the liners on my waved 8 look somewhat thicker than my other production EKI's, but I haven't measured to verify. Some of the low production run pieces have thicker liners (Ti-Comm...which is technically a custom, SW Asia Comm, the ECA knives, and of course, the thick liner customs).
