How about it guys?? An RC-3 the same thickness as the RC-4. It would be a little tank! It would also fill the hand a little better. I'm not complaining, I love my RC 3,4, and Izula. Just thought it would be a neat addition to the RAT line. It would be an awesome EDC .

I'm all set with the RC-3 as it is. If I need a tank I'll go with the RC-5. :)

I'm with stupid. /\
That RC-3 can take as much abuse as you need to unleash on a knife it's size. If you need a thicker blade, chances are you're doing something that the RC-4 would be better suited for anyways. I can appreciate your opinion though and don't want you to think that we're just tryin got piss on your parade. :)

another option for you if it is a matter of it not fitting your hands properly is send it off to someplace to have it rehandled, possibly throw some contoured scales on it or something a little thicker

Not gonna happen .:) Making it thicker would defeat the idea of the knife which is to make it as tough as possible while being light and an efficient cutting/slicing knife. Making thicker adds weight and reduces cutting efficiency since you are taking the same profile surface area and making a bigger 'wedge' out of it. Thicker and 'little tank' was the thinking in making the RC4 out of 3/16 steel.:) Mike

Easy guys. :foot:I'm not downing the designs already out there. As a matter of fact the RAT cutlery line has replaced all my other knives as EDC. The Izula rides in my pocket attached via static cord to my belt wherever I go. While tending to things at the ranch the RC-4 or RC-3 go on the belt. Which one depends on my mood. The RC-4 slices about as good as the RC-3 despite being thicker so I just thought it would be neat to combine the designs. I also would like to see the RC-4 with a blade thickness of the RC-3 as was mentioned above. I'm not saying replace the existing designs just add to the line already being made. I say this because we all know Jeff and Mike have nothing better to do than produce high quality knives for those of us that want them.;) RAT knives are just addictive and if Mike and Jeff put out other designs I'm sure we will buy them. :D Alright, continue pissing on my parade.:D:D

When I was shopping for a small fixed blade, I remember wishing that same thing, since the rc4s over the 4" local law for carry, and the rc3 is under. After using my rc3 pretty hard lately though, can't say I feel the same anymore, this little guy is tough as hell even being as thin as it is.

Now if you guys would just come out with a folding design :D

You could put a 4 and a 3 in a drawer together overnight and try to breed them...... Worth a shot.

If you did that, the way I see it is you would end up with a 3/4. Now three quarters of 4 is 3 so you are right back where you started! Make sense?
