Raindog asked about this in Gary's FRN Stretch thread and I didn't want to hijack it, so here it is...

...for those not familiar with these two, the Caly 3 is the one with the large protruding pivot screw. Also, the Stretch in that photo is from the first batch. The jimping on the newer runs is like that on the Caly 3 and the FRN Stretch II.

Nice pic. Two of my favorite carry knives showing just how thin they are. I also have the old style jimping on my CF Stretch. I can't wait until the FRN/ZDP Stretch 2 comes out, I think it may end up kicking my CF Stretch out of my pocket for a while after it gets back from Tom Krein's shop to get a .007"-.008" thick edge, keeping the FFG. Looking at the pics of the FRN Strech I have a feeling the extra thickness of the handles might pull of the amazing feat of feeling better in the hand than the CF Stretch, which is second only to the Superhawk on my list of most ergonomic folders.

Thanks, Paul. That's just what I was hoping to see. One of my favorite aspects of my CF Caly 3 is the thin profile, and I'm glad to see the Stretch CF is in that ballpark. Makes my decision easy: CF Stretch II, here I come!
