I was finally able to finish this this morning. It has been on my workbench for about a month.
Blade is .105 thick, 3/8in wide and 3-1/2 in long made of Devin Thomas Raindrop pattern Damascus. Front and rear blosters are Delbert Ealy Cheeta pattern damascus, and the scales are GradeA+ white mother of pearl. Fully fileworked liners, backbar (inside and out), screws and 14K thumbstud. The liners have been anodized gold. Overall length is 8in. There are also 2 blacklip pearl inlays in the backbar.
Thanks for looking,
Chuck

I saw this over in the Gallery and mentioned that I thought it was beautiful. Obviously a lot of work went into it. The damascus that was used for both the blade and the bolsters have outstanding patterns and the filework is exceptional. This is one of the nicest persian style folders I have seen. This is not a style I usually like, but I would have no problem owning this one.

I can appreciate the difficulty involved in this one. The extra length and narrow blade is enough to stop most people from attempting it. The blade can be off just a micro amount at the pivot and will cause big problems centering. I think you nailed it! Nice work chuck!

It looks sleeeeek....
BUT it is so sleek and slim that the three screws look way too big:(

Would it be possible to do this kind of work with even smaller screws?
Or is there a problem with stability then?
