I searched the forums and didnt find an answer to this question. Is a Mcusta model mc-5 with cocobolo handles, as thin as say a William Henry? I have looked at this model forever, but dont want chunky handle in a gents knife. Thanks.

Look at pat Crawford's one-piece handle frame lock. It's one of the thinnest out there. So are the Boker Los Banos line. Good luck.

All the Mcusta gentlemen's series knives I've handled have been less than "chunky". It's when you get into micarta handles and such the thickness gets a bit chunkier. I compared the one I have, a M33 TAKE damascus with a William Henry and they're both acceptable for pocket carry IMHO. Mine is 9mm thick at the pivot end and 10mm at the butt. I bought a William Henry morocco leather sheath with a pocket clip on it for EDC.

Japanese hands are little more than half the size of the average American guy's hands. So why should their gentleman's gems be clunkier than US makes?

You'd really have to specify which William Henry, but generally across the board they're close enough in thickness. You'll have no trouble pocketing a Mcusta if you prefer it down in the bottom of your pocket and not using the clip.
