It is looking like the economic down turn or recession is over.
We are in a really small town and our business is mainly supported by tourists driving past on their way to the ocean or the redwoods. The last several weeks we have had a lot of people stopping and making some sizable purchases. I am also seeing a lot of brand new cars with temporary tags. Plus the overall attitude is a lot better.
It has been a while since I have heard anyone use the excuse of a bad economy to justify not purchasing anything. When it comes to spending discretionary income we fall way down toward the bottom of the list with unusual and expensive burl furniture and such.
Now people are smiling, having fun and spending money.
If you hear anyone complaining about the economy, tell them that things are getting better. They probably just hadn't noticed yet.
