Tonight I was browsing around the best custom knife site on the web, for pics to show off Dan's recent work on my YCS to another web forum. There's alot of interesting stuff on Dan's upcoming to-do list on his orders page, but this one takes the cake:
7/16 - Krazy Kukri
Knuckleduster?
Spikes everywhere?
hollow survival handle?
Damascus titanium?
Unobtainum blade with mastodon ivory handle?

:D :D ;)

Dan let me in on this one, and it will be the first knife anywhere to be made of Damascus Unobtanium... :D

LOL!!!...:D :p

I'll give you guys a little secret - there are three projects in there marked PT, which stands for ProtoType. KrazyKukri is one of those. Surprised nobody picked up on the SZ Kukri....

Anyway, in my family we reward curiosity.....:D.....so, I'll give you a little sneak preview, which I'm sure will probably only increase the curiosity.... ....but nevertheless, here it is:

I'm only going to leave this pic up for today because it is sure to stir up some ire amongst "traditionalists". However, I have done my research and actually have an example or two to draw from for this design. No, it's not historical....but it is based on a historical (non-kukri) piece that is being "married" to the kukri design. As you can tell, it's very rough and the handle has been reworked a few times. I'll pick this back up again after the Blade Show and after a few other khukuris have been finished. ;)

And no, that is not a gut-hook. The knife is intended to be a heavy-duty field kukri. I don't like stirring the pot and won't say more until I actually have something in hand to test myself. Right now it's in "design phase". I'll be sure to post a pic should I ever get it finished.....*sigh*

(If you recognize the design and know where this is headed...and have any suggestions..feel free to make them.)

Oh, and here's the Sz Kukri:

Thanks for lookin', guys.

Is the gut hook on the Krazy kuk for gutting and rendering mastodons? No, wait a minute....considering the mastodons are gonzo, perhaps this is for gutting cape buffalo,...or bison? Hummn...... :D

I really like the SZ look forward to that one, any chance one might be at balde?

Looks like a brush hook to me.

Since we're talking non-traditional knife designs, I really want a 3.5 inch narrow bladed, single edged (with a the top sharped 2/3 back) knife for concealed carry. Like a Skien Dhu but not as wide of a blade as the one's I've seen. Anyone have an idea?

Looks kinda like a khuk with a woodsman's pal hook on top. I always thought that would be handy if you are chopping up stuff you can flip over the khuk and pull the junk out of the way.

if you alloy the unobtanium with asmovian resublimated thiotimoline, we'd get a knife that cuts it's target BEFORE the knife hits it (but only if you really meant to hit it); pattern welded with inoson and arenak as well & you've got the ultimate damascus knife.

for those not into physical chemistry:
do a google on 'isaac asimov' (the famous chemist), and 'thiotimoline'

a search on arenak &/or inoson will also be informative (don't care much for dagal, but it may be included in the pattern if desired)

Just as long as we can get it with a tactical black finish.

Unobtainium® components increase grip with perspiration ~ lovin' that.
