Other than good beer and better cheese, what can a person buy from Denmark these days? To support a country that's taking an economic beating from the extremists ...

Suggestions about sharp/pointy things in particular would be good ...

The Danes make some of the world's finest tobacco pipes...real art pieces that you intentionally set fire to.

Good idea!

I support of course the fundamentalists right to stage an economic boycott.

On the other hand burning embassies and violence is BS.

I saw a thing on the news last night that Denmark and Norway spend a higher % age of their national income on charity to countries than any other nations. This whole thing may backfire.

Do you have any links, Nasty? My father-in-law and I like to enjoy a good cigar or pipe smoke from time to time. Sounds like a nice gift for his upcoming b-day.

Lurpak butter; Carlsberg, Carlsberg Elephant, and Tuborg beers; Georg Jensen and Royal Danish silver; Dansk dinnerware/flatware/cookware, should all be readily available, and are great products that have always sold well on their own merit.
Many fine custom knifemakers in Denmark, but prices are in Euros and shipping will be as pricey as the knives.

That "cartoon"incident was if not for the dire implications, pathetic . Extremists entrap the unwary zealots into an unholy alliance to further their own cause .

On the economic front ? While too obvious and mayhaps not to the point . Don,t they make really great cheese ? Some nice blue cheese that was made in Denmark would go over well with my country friends who I get to visit this weekend . We tend to eat light and well on my visits . Cheese , fresh fruit and perchance a bottle of wine ! Don,t worry we,ll put away all the sharp implements before we have the wine ! L:O:L

Kismet, thanks for the link. I bought the whole bunch, it was cheaper that way. BTW, if I ever find that darn Svea stove I'll send you one with it!:foot:

Amazing link, isnt' it?

Either daunting, or sad, or predatory.

Stick with the cheese and cookies...much less commitment.

Pipes.org Jake...probably everything there is to see online  . You might also want to check out NASPC.org (I used to be a Board Member).
