So about 10 years ago I picked up an ADO in tan one side fully serrated , Currahee in green tanto fully serrated and a Crosshair in tan partial serrated. Fast forward they are worth 2 1/2 times what I paid for them even figuring for inflation. So again I am going to pick up a few more. What are the most desirable edge types and colors?

The most desirable edge types and colors would be - the ones you desire the most?
Unless you are collecting for future assets, then..
Maybe stuff already hard to come by, limited editions, sprint runs, anything that's here for a good time, not a long time

As with other types of collectibles, it's very hard (if not impossible) to predict which item will see the greatest increase in demand and value later.

For example, who would have thought the original Spyderco Slysz Bowie would command $1k now, when Spyderco makes so many other knives of equal (and arguably better) quality & design?

So, if you consider yourself a "collector" of knives (and other things), as I am, the "rule" is just to buy what you like and, if you have good taste and/or buy enough stuff, you'll probably find, as I have, "something" in your collection that has risen in value far beyond other things in your collection.

As for Microtech, I've got a Halo V that I bought for a lot less than it's supposedly worth now but am still lusting after an auto Iconic karambit which I didn't buy soon enough. 🤷‍♂️
