Lipton Ice Tea
16 oz $1.19 ... ... ... $9.52 per gallon

Gatorade
20 oz $1.59 ... ... ... $10.17 per gallon

Ocean Spray
16 oz $1.25 ... ... ... $10.00 per gallon

Brake Fluid
12 oz $3.15 ........... $33.60 per gallon

Vick's Nyquil
6 oz $8.35 ... ... ... $178.13 per gallon

Pepto Bismol
4 oz $3.85 ... ... ... $123.20 per gallon

Whiteout
7 oz $1.39 ... ... ... $25.42 per gallon

Scope
1.5 oz $0.99 ... ... ... $84.48 per gallon

And this is the REAL KICKER...

Evian water

$21.19 for WATER - and the buyers don't even know the source.
(Evian spelled backwards is Naive.)

So, the next time you're at the pump, be glad your car doesn't run on water, Scope, or Whiteout, -- or Pepto Bismal or Nyquil.

So, what's a US gallon of gas now?
We pay about £0.82 per litre = £3.72 or $7.06 per Imperial gallon - which is I think 1.25 US gallons. About $5.65 equivalent?

I paid $2.279/gal for Premium last night.

The cashier asked if I wanted a receipt and I said, "No, thank you, I prefer to have no memory of this purchase."

That's nothing -- the ink for your inkjet printer runs about $1500 per gallon if you're stoopid enough to buy it in the printer manufacturer's cartridges. Do the math....

Don't get me started on printer cartriges. $50 for a ten-cent molded plastic bit with like 10ml of ink in it.

Most wives will have you beat. Check out prices for high end perfumes. My wife's Kate Spade runs $60 for 1.7ozs. That's about $4500 a gallon.

If it ran on Scope, would the exhaust smell any better? If it ran on Pepto Bismol, would it burp instead of backfire? The possibilities are fascinating. :)

Criminals would want a get away car that runs on Whiteout so nobody would be able to tell were they'd been.

I used to think ye Brits have it even worse than the continental folks but this doesn't appear to be the case ? Today's price here (for most commonly used unleaded 95 octane fuel) is $1.10+ per liter which comes to approximately $4.16 per gallon. To think it's even more expensive in few other continental countries ... :(

IIRC, HP was also trying to Regional-encode its cartridges so that they can sell them cheap-cheap in China and India but the rest of us would still have to pay through our noses. :barf:

$5.5 per gallon / 10,02kr per litre here in Sweden. Most of which is taxes.
