Just got my new Frink KMG-1--awesome!

Just wondering if anyone out there has any suggestions as far as mounting? Where? How high? On bench vs. dedicated stand? etc.?

Wonderful news John! I know exactly where you're coming from.

I mounted mine on my benchtop. I believe the height is 32". Seems to be a fine height for me, 5"9" average height guy. I stand for some things and sit for blade grinding on a bar stool. My motor is mounted on the benchtop but a better arrangement might be to mount it under the bench on a hinge and let the weight of the motor tension your belt. Also makes it easy if you want to switch pulleys. Have a blast!

Hi John, Congratulations on the new KMG! When I got mine I decided to make a dedicated stand for it. I made it so that the height of the grinding area is right around belly height. Enjoy the new machine!

I built a small stand for mine with a 2x2' top that is 33" off the floor. I have my motor mounted on a board hinged to the table to tension the belt like Peter mentioned.
