So here I sit in my workspace having lunch today, a deepdish slice of pepperoni pizza. A habit that some may find odd is that I eat my pizza with a fork and knife. So here I am cutting away at the fist real food I've had to eat today when someone unexpectedly shows up in my workspace and asks me to sign a few checks. Guess what?
She basically freaks out over the knife I am using to cut my pizza. Now I want you to picture this--she is standing there with buggy eyes saying she has never seen or heard of anyone in all her life cutting pizza with a knife, or at least with one as "hard core" (her words, not mine) as mine. I try to explain that it is just something I have done all my life (cut pizza with a knife, that is), but all she can manage to say is that it is very odd, and then she walks out.
Even stranger, it is routine for people to be walking around here with guns on their hips, but I guess that doesn't really bug her. Oh, and the knife??? It is an Active Duty.
Needless to say, I probably won't sleep well now for the next month because I really value her educated and reasoned opinion. :foot: Sometimes I just don't get it. :barf:
