Just ordered the 5 and I think it will complete my little BK&T family (its supposed to be here on the 14th), once I get the TKC G10 for it and my 15, that should do it. I'm pumped! [emoji14]

A wise desicion indeed!
I love the 5. And those TKC scales are top notch.

I'm not positive on this one, but I'm pretty sure completing a family requires pics. Veteran members please confirm.

Here is the fam with the new addition. The 5 is a roll stamped and smooth coating model as is the 7 which it all started with back in 2010. I think this group covers all the bases for me. All that is left is adding TKC G10 to the 5.

You've got more than me... But it would seem the family can't be complete without the Daddy; the BK9! :D

No 9?

Can't not have a 9!

Still a knice family nonetheless.

Thanks Guys,
I just don't know about the 9, I always carry a small axe with me when I am in the woods and I just love the 7 for the one tool option (my only carry) the 13 rides in the sheath and I haven't ran into any situation that that pair can't handle. Although I will admit since I got the 16 it is always on my hip with the axe and a folding saw in the pack, love that knife.

Nice family.

My first reaction after seeing the pic was...What no 9? Hows it complete without a big chopper? But really, you have more than enough steel there to last you a lifetime. Some of us just have a very bad disease that can only be cured with a BK9 in both hands and a beard full of wood chips.

If your happy we are happy. Now keep us updated on breaking in that 5. :)

thanks,
yea, I'm one of those tool heavy guys when I'm in the woods. Don't get me wrong, I know from the Beckers I own there is a reason the 9 is called the King.
I was pleasantly surprised when I realized the 5 is a roll stamp with the smooth coating and I can't wait to put it through its paces, I am sure there will be more on that to come :)

My first was a 7 also. Then I got hit with "what, no 9?" And "you can't not have a 9", so the next becker was a 9. Never regretted it. In fact, I rarely use the 7. I carry a 9 with a 13 in sheath pocket, a 16 and a 14. If you ever chop with a 9, you'll get why it's the king immediately.

Regardless, love your collection! Those scales are really sweet....and a stamped 5?? NICE!

Thanks, I learned along time ago never to say never, so you never know. I've got two more sets of scales to buy and you know what it's like around here [emoji3]
